My favourite book on the topic, which was also the primarily motivation to set up this webpage and spread the knowledge of the Viking period in Estonia, is "The migration period, pre-Viking age and Viking age in Estonia" by Andres  Tvauri, archeologist from Tartu University, Estonia.
